Energy Over Clock Time

Traditional 9-to-5 scheduling assumes uniform energy across the day. Freelancers often experience distinct arcs — cognitive peaks, administrative slumps, and late-night ideation windows. This mapper helps you identify and plan around those patterns.

How to Build Your Personal Arc

Three-Day Observation

For three consecutive workdays, note your energy level every two hours using a simple 1–5 scale. Record without trying to change your habits — observation comes first.

Plot the Curve

Transfer your scores onto a horizontal timeline. Connect the points to reveal your natural arc. Peaks above 4 indicate focus windows; valleys below 3 suit administrative tasks.

Monthly Review

Revisit your arc at the start of each month. Project changes, seasonal daylight shifts, and client volume fluctuations alter natural rhythms over time.

Connect Flow Data to Vault Techniques

Once your energy arc is mapped, return to the Framework Vault and select techniques that complement your peak and trough windows.
